Free online tools for screenshots and photos
Small, single-purpose tools that run entirely in your browser. No account, no trial, no watermark on what comes out — and your images are never uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload them to.
The tools
Why they are free, and what the catch is
The honest version: these tools are here because they are a fair sample of what Scrollie does on a phone. If one of them finishes your task completely, that is a good outcome — you owe nothing and there is no prompt asking you to sign up before downloading your own image.
The catch, such as it is, is scope. Each tool does the one-off version of a job. What a browser cannot do is capture a scrolling screen for you, reach into your camera roll, or remember anything after the tab closes. Those limits are not artificial restraint; they are what a web page is. Work that is continuous, repeated, or needs to survive being interrupted is genuinely better on the device, which is what the app is for.
Nothing is uploaded
Every tool here processes images with Canvas inside the page. There is no server component, no upload endpoint and no analytics script watching what you do. The pages do not make network requests while you work, which you can confirm in about five seconds: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network panel, and run a tool.
This is worth stating plainly because most free image tools online work the opposite way — your file goes to someone else's server, gets processed there, and comes back. That model is why so many of them require an account, and why a watermark is such a common way to pay for the bandwidth. Doing the work locally removes the reason for both.
Common questions
Are these tools really free?
Yes, with no account, no trial and no watermark on the output. They exist because they are a fair introduction to what the Scrollie app does on a phone. If a browser tool solves your problem completely, that is a good outcome and you owe nothing.
Do you upload my images?
No. Every tool here runs entirely in your browser using Canvas. There is no upload endpoint, and the pages make no network requests while you work. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools by watching the Network panel.
Why are some features only in the app?
Because a browser tab is the wrong place for them. It cannot capture a scrolling screen, cannot read your camera roll, and cannot keep a draft after you close it. Work that is repeated, continuous or needs to be saved belongs on the device; one-off jobs work fine here.
